FLUKE 62 MAX+ is a handheld non-contact infrared thermometer for industrial inspection and maintenance. It enables surface-temperature measurement without direct contact with the equipment being checked.

Selection and use guidance
The instrument is suited to periodic surface-temperature inspections in factories, M&E facilities, and MRO maintenance work. For trend monitoring, measure the same location repeatedly and compare readings between inspections. Use the Dual Laser to target the measurement area, and consider the 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio when selecting the measuring distance.
Technical and safety notes
FLUKE 62 MAX+ measures surface temperature by infrared and does not measure internal object temperature. Set emissivity appropriately for the measured surface. The laser is IEC 60825-1 Class 2; follow laser safety instructions during use. Non-contact measurement is useful for hot, moving, or difficult-to-reach surfaces, but it does not eliminate all safety risks.
