Fluke 117 True-RMS Digital Multimeter is a digital multimeter for electrical technicians, MRO maintenance, and testing of commercial, residential, and industrial electrical systems. Part of the Fluke 110 Series, it supports AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, continuity, diode, capacitance, and frequency measurements.
True-RMS technology supports AC voltage and current measurement when signals are not ideal sine waves. The meter measures AC/DC voltage up to 600 V and AC/DC current up to 10 A.
Fluke 117 is suitable for checking power supplies, outlets, electrical panels, control circuits, connection points, wiring, fuses, contacts, and common electrical faults. It can be used in manufacturing plants, mechanical facilities, food and beverage plants, M&E buildings, MRO maintenance, electrical contracting, and technical training environments with suitable safety procedures.
LoZ is useful when assessing displayed voltage in systems with parallel conductors or induced voltage. VoltAlert™ supports a quick indication of possible voltage presence, but it should not be used as the only method to confirm that a circuit is completely safe.
When measuring current, use the A input as instructed for the instrument. Do not leave the red test lead in the A input when measuring voltage. Safely discharge capacitors before capacitance measurement, and isolate power as required before resistance, continuity, or diode tests.
Fluke 117 is a measurement and diagnostic support instrument. Measurement results must be assessed by qualified personnel in accordance with the electrical safety procedures of the system. Always follow the manufacturer's safety instructions, measurement category, and measurement limits.
The standard package includes Fluke 117, one pair of 4 mm silicone test leads, a holster, and documentation or a quick reference guide according to the manufacturer and supplied market configuration.
