Wood is one of the natural materials used by people from early times and it continues to play an important role today. Across generations, it has been present in homes, architectural works, vehicles, production tools, household goods, and many other areas of life.
In modern society, although steel, concrete, glass, and many new industrial materials continue to develop, wood retains a special position through its natural beauty, warm feel, flexible workability, and aesthetic value. It is used in residential interiors, offices, hotels, restaurants, schools, showrooms, shopping centers, supermarkets, warehouses, factories, and many civil and commercial projects.
Growing demand for wood raises an important question: how can a useful natural material continue to be used while reducing pressure on forest resources? Forests retain carbon, protect soil and water resources, maintain biodiversity, and contribute to environmental regulation.
Efficient use of timber from plantation trees that can be replanted and harvested in cycles is a meaningful approach to supplementing raw materials for the wood-processing industry. Rubber trees are one such distinctive source of material.
The rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis, is initially planted mainly for latex production, an important raw material for tire, mechanical, transport, and numerous industrial-product sectors. After many years of tapping, as trees age, latex yield declines and plantations enter the clearing stage for replanting, their trunks still retain substantial value as natural rubberwood.
Rather than being used only as fuel or handled as a low-value material, these trunks can be recovered, sawn, treated, dried, and processed for a new life cycle as material for wood products, furniture, interiors, and higher-value wood products.
Planting → latex harvesting → clearing for replanting → wood recovery → processing → new products.
Vietnam has tropical climatic conditions suitable for rubber-tree development. Through more than a century of formation and development, dedicated rubber-growing areas have been established in the Southeast, Central Highlands, and other regions, creating a material supply of notable scale for both the rubber and wood-processing industries.
When rubber plantations complete their latex-harvesting cycle and are replanted, the trunks continue through sawing, treatment, drying, grading, and further processing to produce kiln-dried lumber, wood strips, interior components, and laminated wood products for domestic and export markets. Rubberwood has a naturally light color, grain that is easy to coordinate in design, and flexible workability when material selection and production control are properly managed.
To become a Rubber Wood Finger Joint Laminated Board, or FJLB, the material passes through a sequence of production and quality-control stages. Wood is received, graded, sawn, and dried; moisture is controlled; unsuitable defects are removed; wood is machined into strips; Finger Joint profiles are made to join short strips into longer lengths; then the material is further graded, edge-glued, and pressed into panels.
The product is then cut to the required dimensions, thickness-calibrated, sanded, visually inspected, quality graded, and packed before dispatch. INDUSVINA's control process covers the chain from incoming materials through finished products, packing, and shipping documentation. Finger Joint technology combined with Laminated Board production enables effective use of rubberwood strips of different sizes to create large panels, while maintaining the material's natural beauty and facilitating subsequent interior-processing stages.
Since 2018, INDUSVINA has developed activities to connect and supply Vietnamese wood products. Rubberwood and Rubber Wood FJLB are among the product groups oriented toward export markets.
Located in Ho Chi Minh City, near southern material regions and major wood-processing centers, INDUSVINA has built a cooperation network with material suppliers, sawmill-and-drying facilities, and wood-processing establishments in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Gia Lai, and neighboring areas.
INDUSVINA organizes the work chain from material-source selection → technical requirement definition → production coordination → quality control → acceptance → packing → inspection as required → delivery and export arrangement. Each order may be controlled under a Production Specification Sheet/Technical Annex and reference sample approved by both parties to define requirements for dimensions, moisture, surface, grade, emission standard, packing, and specific acceptance criteria.
Rubber Wood Finger Joint Laminated Board FJLB E0 Grade AB 2440 × 1220 × 18 mm is manufactured from Vietnam-origin Rubberwood and is intended for furniture orders and export markets.
The product applies E0 and Grade AB according to the customer's grading standard or a reference sample agreed by the parties. The current product record specifies 2440 × 1220 × 18 mm. During production, factors including material, moisture, Finger Joint quality, edge gluing, panel pressing, dimensions, sanded surface, and finished-product appearance are controlled according to each order's requirements. Finished panels undergo visual inspection before acceptance and packing.
When a rubber tree has completed its purpose of providing latex, a new material life cycle begins. Its trunk can continue to be recovered and processed into FJLB panels for furniture, homes, offices, and projects for the next generation.
This is the value INDUSVINA pursues: connecting Vietnamese rubberwood resources, manufacturing capability, quality control, logistics, and international markets to enhance the value of Vietnamese materials and provide products suited to each customer's specific requirements.
