SMC AW30-03BG-A is an integrated pneumatic filter regulator from the AW-A Series. It combines air filtration and pressure regulation in one body, helping reduce the number of devices and air-line connections in a pneumatic system.

The model has an Rc 3/8" connection port, an installation bracket, and a round pressure gauge with limit indicator. Its pressure adjustment range is 0.05–0.7 MPa.

• 5 μm nominal filtration for retaining solid contaminants and collecting part of the condensate in the air line.
• Relieving-type regulator with an integrated gauge for direct outlet-pressure monitoring.
• Polycarbonate bowl and standard polycarbonate bowl guard; the transparent bowl allows visual inspection of condensate and contaminants.

Applications

SMC AW30-03BG-A is suitable for air lines serving industrial machinery, pneumatic valve assemblies, pneumatic cylinders, actuators, air tools, packaging machines, processing machines, automation lines, and MRO requirements.

This product is not an air dryer and does not completely remove moisture vapor or oil aerosol. Systems requiring very dry or very clean air require an appropriate dryer, mist separator, or fine filter in addition.

Installation and operation guidance

1. Install in the IN → OUT direction marked on the product body.
2. Connect using clean Rc 3/8" threads, fittings, and tubing. Prevent PTFE tape, thread sealant, or thread chips from entering the device.
3. Apply air pressure gradually and inspect all connections for leakage.
4. Pull up the adjustment knob to unlock it, turn it to increase or decrease pressure while observing the gauge, then push the knob down to lock it.
5. Monitor the bowl and drain condensate periodically using the manual drain cock.

Maintenance and safety notes

• Use with compressed air only. Operating pressure must not exceed 1.0 MPa.
• Use within an ambient and air temperature range of -5 to +60°C, with no freezing.
• Release all line pressure before removing the bowl or carrying out maintenance.
• Do not expose the polycarbonate bowl to incompatible chemicals or solvents.
• Replace the filter element when it becomes contaminated or when pressure loss increases abnormally. Replacement filter element: AF30P-060S.
